My Process

Book Session

Before the shoot, we’ll plan the location, timing, and overall goals for the session together. I’ll help with recommendations around lighting, weather, outfits, timing, and any logistics needed to make the day run smoothly.

Shooting Day

Whether we’re shooting outdoors, traveling between locations, or documenting an activity, I aim to create an easygoing environment where everyone can focus on the experience while I capture it naturally.

After the shoot

Once the adventure is over, I carefully edit and curate the images to reflect the feeling of the experience as honestly as possible. You will receive a private online gallery soon after the shoot, with an easy way to download the photos.
Let's Start Creating Something Magic

frequently asked questions
What do I need to wear? How clean should my horse be?
You don't have to dress formal, but wear something authentically you. Dressing up a bit and having some fun never hurt anybody! Think of the color of your horse and the scenery of the location and think about what colors or patterns may clash versus which will compliment each other.
Please give any equines a good grooming, but full bathing isn't always necessary. It is up to you what vibe you want to take! Wild and Free? Let that mane and tail fly loose and keep that fluff and feathers. Polished and Pristine? Get them squeaky clean and braided.
What is your travel radius?
For portrait-style packages I will travel up to 1.5 hours from Lexington, Kentucky. Extra travel costs would have to be discussed for any further sites.
For second shooting at horse shows, I am flexible for travel and we can discuss compensation for travel, accommodations, and day rate.
How long does it typically take to receive the final images or film?
Anywhere from a few days to 2 weeks, depending on the complexity of the shoot and editing required.
Can we collaborate on a custom project that doesn’t fit a standard package?
I would love that. Every project tends to come together a little differently, especially when travel or a specific location is involved. Once I learn more about what you have in mind, I can usually suggest an approach that feels right for the experience rather than trying to fit everything into a standard package.
