My Mother made sure of 2 things: I would fall in love with Nature, and I would fall in love with Horses.

Life has led me down several paths, but they have always led back to these two worlds. Photography has allowed me to explore my love for both in the same artistic sphere.

I'm also an eventer, avid hiker, artist, and I happen to have a pretty green thumb. I am currently pursuing a Bachelors in Agricultural and Medical Biotechnology at the University of Kentucky and am a member of the UK Eventing Team. This path of study has allowed me to look deep into the science behind plant growth, function, and genetics and develop a deep respect for the field of conservation genetics. In between my studies and riding, I took up photography and fell in love. Academia has taught the the importance of connections and networking, and photography allows me to communicate in ways I can't with just my words. Everyone's story deserves to be captured and shared.

The creation of RoseBay was inspired by my beautiful bay OTTB gelding, Corvin, and my love for native plants & nature as a whole. Rosebay Rhododendrons (Rhododendron maximum) are one of the most striking native plants in the eastern United States. They are a shrub in the blueberry family, Ericaceae, and are found all along the Appalachian region. Rosebay Willowherb (Chamerion angustifolium), also commonly known as Fireweed, is another striking plant native to North America. It favors high elevation and high latitude habitats. Corvin's show name is Fire Bright, and though my naming him that has no connection to Fireweed, I am realizing this is a sort of full circle moment.
